The Open Gate
The Open Gate is Milwaukee's first transitional living center for the homeless. Since 1986, the social service agency has helped hundreds of men, women and children find their way back to a home and society. The organization works exclusively with the underprivileged and disadvantaged, of which two thirds are indigent. And they're the only Transitional Living Center that accepts clients without an income.
The Open Gate remains one of the few social service agencies to offer ongoing support after a resident has completed the program. Services include case management, support groups, homeless prevention and intervention programs
